1. About these terms and Hubly
The website is operated by Hubly Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12199897. Our registered office is 2 Cranmer Road, Riverhead, Sevenoaks, England, TN13 2AT.
You can contact us at [email protected]. Information about how we use personal information is in our Privacy Notice.
By using the website or submitting a request, you agree to these terms. If you submit for a company, club, school, public body or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.
2. Who may submit a request
You may browse the public website at any age. If you are aged 13 or over, you may submit a personal Hub name request, register non-binding personal interest in Beta or verification, or send a general enquiry. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must submit the request or contact us for you.
A Hub name request is free and provisional. It does not create ownership of the name, guarantee registration or form a paid contract. You must be at least 18 and appropriately authorised to submit a request on behalf of a business or organisation, purchase a paid service or enter another legally binding commercial agreement with Hubly.
We may ask for information reasonably needed to confirm age, authority, identity or rights before accepting or continuing a request. Planned Beta account age rules will be stated separately before accounts open.
3. What the pre-launch website provides
The site provides information about the planned Hubly service and allows visitors to:
- run an initial check on a proposed Hub name;
- request that a proposed name and @handle be considered for pre-registration;
- register interest in Beta, verification or a future subscription; and
- send enquiries to Hubly.
The website does not currently create a live Hub, member profile, verified status or paid subscription. Product images, feature descriptions, prices, timelines, metrics and examples may describe plans or illustrative outcomes. They are not a guarantee that every feature will launch, launch in a particular form or remain at an indicative price.
4. Hub name requests
Before we ask for your email, an automated probe runs the same normalisation, reserved-prefix, Hub-uniqueness, active-reservation and Shield / OpenAI safety rules the reservation step uses. A passing probe only means the name was clear at that moment. The reservation step that follows re-runs the same rules, and a name may still be declined for misleading wording, conflicting rights, unsuitable content, technical issues or another person's legitimate claim. Submission does not grant a domain name, trade mark, company name, social-media username, property right or guaranteed Hubly account.
Requests are subject to the Hub Name Reservation and Claims Policy. We may require email verification or supporting evidence and may approve, decline, hold, modify, release, transfer, suspend or revoke a name in accordance with that policy.
If a requested name identifies or closely resembles an established brand, registered trade mark, public body or other protected organisation, the request will remain on hold until authority is confirmed through an email address controlled by that organisation. We may require further evidence. A personal or agency email address cannot, by itself, secure approval of a protected name.
You are responsible for checking whether your proposed name infringes another person's rights and for giving accurate information. Do not reserve names to impersonate, mislead, harass, block a legitimate rights holder or sell the reservation.
5. Information and material you submit
You keep ownership of material you send to us. You give Hubly a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy and review it only as reasonably needed to handle your request, protect the service, comply with law and establish or defend legal rights.
You must not submit material that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, malicious, defamatory, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, infringing, infected with malware or intended to disrupt the website. You must not send another person's personal information unless you have a lawful reason and the disclosure is appropriate.
6. Acceptable website use
You must not:
- break the law or encourage unlawful activity;
- misrepresent who you are or your authority;
- probe, bypass or interfere with security, rate limits, access controls or safety checks;
- introduce malicious code, overload the service or use automated tools to scrape, reserve or test names at scale without written permission;
- reverse engineer website code except where law expressly permits it;
- copy or exploit website content for a competing service; or
- use the website in a way that harms Hubly, its users or another person.
Good-faith accessibility testing, ordinary search-engine indexing and responsible security research are not prohibited, provided they do not access other people's data, impair the service or ignore a request to stop. Report security concerns to [email protected].
7. Hubly content and intellectual property
Hubly, the Hubly logo, HubShield, the website design, copy, graphics, software and other site materials belong to Hubly or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the site and make a reasonable copy of these terms for your own records. No other right is granted.
You may not use Hubly branding in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or verification without written permission. To report an intellectual property concern, follow the process in our Intellectual Property Notices.
8. Availability, changes and links
We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of this free pre-launch website. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We take reasonable care with published information, but early product information may change and should not be treated as professional, legal, financial or investment advice.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control their content, availability, security or privacy practices. A link does not by itself mean Hubly endorses the third party.
9. Protecting the service
If we reasonably believe these terms or a policy have been breached, or action is needed to protect people, rights or the service, we may block a request, restrict access, preserve evidence or refer a matter to an appropriate authority. Where practical and lawful, we will explain a material decision and provide an opportunity to ask for review.
10. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing affects a consumer's mandatory legal rights.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business loss, or for a failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
If you use the site wholly or mainly for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the free pre-launch site. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms to reflect the law, website changes, safety needs or business operations. The updated version applies from the date shown above. If a change materially affects an active request, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate.
Platform terms, subscription terms and any marketplace terms will be presented separately before those services are made available. Continuing to browse this information site does not count as acceptance of future paid or platform terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you also keep the benefit of mandatory protections that apply where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts of your home part of the UK. Business users agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. No person other than you and Hubly has a right to enforce these terms.
